My Creative journey
How I Started My Creative Journey as a Freelance Content Creator

Starting a creative journey has its own challenges. For me,
it began with curiosity, a Canva free account, and way too many tabs open. But
every little step added up—and now I’m building a portfolio, designing digital
content, and helping small brands bring their story to life.
If you're someone dreaming about content writing, freelancing, or exploring creativity online—this one’s for you.
My Starting Point: No Clients, Just Curiosity
I didn’t have professional experience or a background in
marketing. What I had was:
- A
free certificate in content marketing
- A
strong love for writing
- And a
curiosity to learn design tools like Canva and Notion
Instead of waiting, I started working step by step. By writing
Practice pieces, creating mock-up projects, and building a Notion portfolio.
Tools That Helped Me Get Started
These tools made my beginner journey smoother:
- Notion –
for organizing ideas + creating my portfolio
- Canva –
for creating blog graphics, flyers, and Instagram posts
- Grammarly –
for polishing content
- Blogger.com – where you’re reading this right now
What I Write About (And Why)
I explore topics like:
- Sustainable
skincare and wellness
- Creative
freelancing and productivity
- Digital
lifestyle trends
Why just one niche? Because creativity doesn’t always fit in
a box—and that’s okay.
3 Things I’ve Learned So Far
- Start
before you feel ready. You’ll learn on the way.
- Create
your own opportunities. Mock projects helped me get noticed.
- Build
a presence, not perfection. Instagram, blogs, Notion—it’s about
consistency.
